ABOUT
For the Love of Pixar was a 2014 art installation and corresponding tribute blog celebrating the Pixar Universe and mobilizing artists as a creative force for social good. The installation benefited Give Clean Water, Invisible Children and LiNK: Liberty in North Korea. The vision of show organizers was to feature works inspired by popular Pixar films from artists of all ages.
CHALLENGE
Conceptualize and execute environmental, display and promotional elements supporting the 2014 art installation For the Love of Pixar. The spirit of the show invited guests to step into a physical world of Pixar, creating a living canvas of artistic elements that showcased each work of art in a dynamic and engaging environment.
SOLUTION
For the Love of Pixar chose favorite moments from multiple Pixar films to bring to life throughout the event venue. Exhibit themes featured Andy's Room and Sunshine Preschool from Toy Story (toy donation station), the Scare Floor from Monsters and a Monster's U Classroom (learn to draw your favorite character), Carl's living room from UP!, navigational schools of fish from Finding Nemo and Ratatouille's kitchen (Sips & Bites Station). A full year of planning and building went into the creation of all elements and environments for the installation.
